Under Construction...
While employed with a number of firms in the Twin Cities area I have had a hand in realizing a number of different projects of vastly varying program and size. The following is just a handful.
Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wayzata, MN - A renovation and large addition to an existing church. I assisted the Principal in Charge in design development and helped draft construction documents, as well as assemble marketing materials post-construcion.
SJU McKeown Center, Collegeville, MN - A LEED-silver-track new community building for the small group of housing units on the north end of campus. I assisted the project architect with drafting from schematic design through construction documents, as well as helped detail and design portions of the building. In addition I provided a 3d model for energy modeling and created/assembled marketing graphics for the project. Currently slated to open late summer 2009.
Small House Addition, Saint Paul, MN Under the supervision of a principal, I was responsible for most design and documentation decisions for this small addition. It included an expanded kitchen, new master suite w/ bath, and a three-season porch. Currently under construction.
Saint John's University Master Plan 2009. Under the supervision of a principal I was responsible for all graphic and layout decisions in this book documenting the built aspirations for the small college campus in central Minnesota. Ongoing.
Family Guest Cabin, Jackson Hole, WY - 2009. I collaborated with a peer on the design and constuction of a 1,500 S.F. cabin that included full kitchen, living space, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Currently under construction.
Saint Cloud State University Brown Hall Auditorium Renovation, Saint Cloud, MN - 2009. Under the supervision of a Principal, I was responsible for most design and documentation decisions on this small renovation of an existing lecture hall in sore need of modern updates. Highlights include a sound-reflective wood ceiling angled to carry sound from the podium to the rear of the hall, and a demountable system of absorptive and reflective panels fitted for the flanking walls. Currently under construction.
Saint Cloud State University Integrated Science and Engineering Laboratory Facility, Saint Could, MN - 2008-9. A 100,000 S.F. LEED-silver-track University level sciences laboratory. I was co-lead on marketing graphics for the winning interview. Once awarded, I assisted in programming, schematic design, and initial 3D models for daylighting studies.
Habeger Science Building, South Dakota State University, Madison, SD - 2008. Renovation of an existing 25,000 S.F University level math and science building. I assissted in graphic assembly for the winning interview.
Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, Graymoor, Garrison, NY - 2007-8. Renovation of and 75,000 S.F. addition to a Franciscan monastery situated at the top of a Taconic Range foothill. I worked closely with the Principal in Charge on programming, schematic design and assorted graphic materials for client and city meetings.
University of Minnesota Equine Center, Saint Paul, MN - 2006-7. A 40,000 S.F. equine treatment and research center for the University of Minnesota’s agricultural campus. I assissted the Principal in Charge and Project Manager with construction documents and post-construction marketing graphics.
